NaPoWriMo Day 18 Mea Culpa

Because who really knows what time or day it is? Obviously not this girl! In my defense I had a moment of – look at you going to bed early!

what day is today
was there no poem yesterday
life is confusing

if you forget sleep
one day is one day, all one
words run together

then there’s the moment
of wondering what is now
and what yesteray

today in garden
above a familiar call
is fast approaching

through the birch branches
a canadian goose honks
today is today

yesterday is gone
except in memory now
don’t waste time weeping

time and poems tangled
was there no yesterday then
if there was no poem

  1. I like how the goose settles it:” through the birch branches
    a canadian goose honks
    today is today”

  2. Manja Mexi says:

I love it how you spell it “yesteray” once. :) I’m sure not on purpose, but to me it speaks loudly how one feels after a sleepless night.
