What a pleasure to be out in the sun today. Tonight was a bit windy. And, I realized that the reason for using the pochade box/tripod is so I’m not uncomfortably juggling everything on my lap/the ground/the car/etc. Oh yeah. I wasn’t trying to be lighter or anything, just done too much car-painting I guess and got out of practice. I did use my folding chair today though.

The Quote Box
I must not fear. • Fear is the mind–killer. • Fear is the little–death that brings total obliteration. • I will face my fear. • I will permit it to pass over me and through me. • And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. • Where the fear has gone there will be nothing….only I will remain. Such a little pad
I often do a smaller sketchbook and a larger painting together. The arches block under the palette is 9×12 and there’s some bigger paper in my bag.
