I know. I seem to be stuck on the whole math and teaching thing but the NYTimes is encouraging this. This week’s magazine boasts a really exciting article and related videos about people who are trying to figure out what makes good teachers good (those who are actually teaching students who have good “results”).
For those of you who have been around awhile, you may recognize the talents and traits of these good teachers as things you encountered with your favorite teachers – funny how that works out. Even if you’re not teaching squirmy seven-year olds or hormally-charged high schoolers.
Another aspect of teaching…don’t dis teachers!
