No where near the snows of Washington and Virginia which seem so much like the snows of my childhood, but it is snowing. This morning my alarm went off extra early to see if it had started. Nope. The next alarm – nothing. The normal alarm – snowing like a blizzard. Of course, nothing much on the ground yet, but it’s just the right temperature and those little flakes coming down furiously to amount to something.
Luckily the pickings were slim at home so I went grocery shopping last night. No food fights in the aisles, plenty of everything on the shelves. I wondered if I had read the weather forecast incorrectly but I piled up my groceries and paid my bill and packed it into my car without complaint. The big tug of war in the grocery dept this time of year is the craving for wintery stews etc vs the craving for greens. Hopefully I can solve it all. Maybe with some chocolate!
