Today is my regular day off but turns out the world is pretty much closed today too. Colonie Center closed early and after letting people show up for work, Crossgates closed too. Must seriously be coming into the end times for that to happen.
Anyway, I’d gone and done regular grocery shopping yesterday. The shelves of Hannaford were pretty well stocked on a Monday morning but the aisles were filled with people I don’t normally encounter. Some were snow-panic buying but most were just a little… odd. Met two quilting friends along the aisles paid for my stuff and got out in time to have lunch with mom. Definitely able to stay the course and eat well at home. The liquor store was closed though due to water damage so there’s a wine shortage. oh no! No, it’s ok. Really.
Stopped at Staples who had no pink index cards but I got the nice young woman in the printing section to cut up a half-ream of card stock so I could send out pink postcards tomorrow. (the mail will be running right? neither rain nor snow nor dark of night???)
So far today I’ve shoveled once, trying to keep up with the plowed pile at the end of the driveway. Grateful for my OR gaiters that I’d gotten for my trip to Wales – keep the snow out and my legs warm!
Now I’m in for awhile, drinking hot tea and thinking about what to do next.
You are one strong gal. Proud of all you do. I am busy watching the snow blow.
