I had a – let’s just say yucky – morning. When I got home unexpectedly this afternoon, I really wasn’t in the mood for much but what the heck, I needed to refill my palette so I did that and then this color chart and then I did a small painting inspired by the photo of a friend. Now I think it’s time for an adult beverage.

If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.

So sorry for the yucky morning, Mary Beth. Palette and color chart work feels like it would be soothing, kind of getting the order back and things in their places. The painting is a product of that order and opening to its possibilities for exploration. Of what, I’m not sure, except that it’s good. An adult beverage seems fitting extension of opening, and closing. Just a riff on your post!
