I had a – let’s just say yucky – morning. When I got home unexpectedly this afternoon, I really wasn’t in the mood for much but what the heck, I needed to refill my palette so I did that and then this color chart and then I did a small painting inspired by the photo of a friend. Now I think it’s time for an adult beverage.

The charm of the words of great men, those grand sayings which are recognized as true as soon as heard, is this, that you recognize them as wisdom which has passed across your own mind. You feel that they are your own thoughts come back to you…

So sorry for the yucky morning, Mary Beth. Palette and color chart work feels like it would be soothing, kind of getting the order back and things in their places. The painting is a product of that order and opening to its possibilities for exploration. Of what, I’m not sure, except that it’s good. An adult beverage seems fitting extension of opening, and closing. Just a riff on your post!
