Rainy Tuesday in July

As I walked into the food court today there was no view out the large windows. It might have been snowing – the scene looked liked a white-out. Just a summer downpour.

The air, full of rain,
milky glass of raininess.
Now the sky lightens.

rain and rain and rain
unmown corners’ graceful tufts
reward with flowers

a gull, after rain,
views the parking lot as though
it were the ocean.

the humidity
pouring through the air as rain
a sudden release.

You got to see the kind of day we had today. Great words to express it. Wonderful.
