A few stray haiku

Not today, but this first one from a few days ago when I had only a horrific cough and no voice:

I’m home sick today
and covered in cracker crumbs
hopped up on cold meds.

[***]

The wind rises up,
stirs the birch leaves and pushes
into the dark house

remembering dad
I paused in the yard tonight
hoping for fire flies

Yes loved to sit quietly and watch the fire flies.
