The Last Couple Lines – The Corn Baby

Billy Collins and Mark Pinsky both talk about getting your reader to the last couple lines of a poem, and giving the reader a reward, something to make it worthwhile.

This poem, The Corn Baby by Mark Wunderlich, is a great example of this and I hope you enjoy the end as much as I did.

Mark Wunderlich’s site has more poems to tempt you.
