I fear to go to Arizona to fetch my package myself, although I suppose I could find a few natural wonders to look at while I was there… Maybe even find this TUXzon place*. But still. What good is tracking information if it’s bogus and just makes you ponder the inefficiencies of the Postal Service?
Now, if that package is in my mailbox tomorrow, what will I think about that? Stay tuned.
** I had posted an earlier version of this tracking info the other day on Facebook and reported on my phone conversation with USPS about the package:
I couldn’t resist calling about this (also having a sliver of doubt that it actually would just end up in Tucson) and was told that it had departed “TUXzon” today and was scheduled for delivery on Monday. And no there would not be a refund of shipping cost because it turns out that Priority Two-Day Mail is not a guaranteed service. No kidding.
I did allow that this is an example of why the post office isn’t doing well – it sends packages in completely the opposite direction needed and misadvertises its services. They probably were better off when the USPS tracking showed only mailing date and delivery date, LOL.
Package arrived today, July 14, 2014
