I think I fell asleep last night despite good intentions of posting a haiku. Oh well. Below is a small selection. Nothing too serious. I spent a good chunk of today getting started on sewing a new quilt. In my parlance I’ve got one quarter of it sewn one way.
Why cats? I ask you…
Why arent there any cashews
for me to munch on?Starting isn’t hard
once put off just long enough
it feels a relief.I put butt in chair
and, pairing up squares for hours
began assembly.The squares, small and black
and joined by thread, a night’s work
hung back on the wall.I sewed and I sewed
pushing the squares through by twos
in pursuit of…a quilt.
