And now what?

Silly me wasn’t counting very well at the tail end of sticking up those squares. Well actually I’d counted well in the making but not so well in the reporting lol.

So the correct numbers: it’s 20 x 36 squares. The squares should finish about 2 inches.

Now i’m going to look at the squares for a short while and rearrange as needed. I just made a couple more of a bronze sort of color that seemed to end up with only a couple.

The whole thing is perhaps just a tad more colorful than I thought but it does get to the balance of light and dark that I imagined.

pushing onward

I had hand-pushed a lot of seams last night after trimming the last seam but I still needed to iron everything solidly. Then trim them all up. Them being what I hoped would be the last batch of squares. Got them all done and just put up a couple photos of the whole mess up on the wall. 16 squares remain. Now to just look at it a short while to see what needs some nudging.

Settling on a size

Something about black thread. Or, black thread vs the
occasionally slubby silk strip. Whatever the cause I had to gather
up and actually sew a bunch of squares and strips together. I can’t
even say sew them again because they only went through the motions
the first time. Closing in on first pass on the next 100.

Oh and I think I’m closing in on a finished size. Seeing more squares up today made that easier.
