Saturday mix #haiku

Yesterday, anger;
a madness of pain and hurt.
Tonight, gentle rain.

The rain, some splotches
tapping on the road and leaves
little splattering

the next. The unknown.
The thing I haven’t thought of:
not yet, not thought of.

I’m outing myself
as someone who writes haiku
pools of syllables.

I Like Ike

I think that people want peace so much that one of these days government had better get out of their way and let them have it. – Dwight D. Eisenhower

words of wisdom

Naomi recently wrote:

“AKICIT (all knowledge is contained in Thoreau)”

I am reminded of this at least weekly.

The ramblings of a friday #haiku #haikupedia

Open glaucus eyes.
See wide the world and untruths,
in darkness: wisdom.

Her owl, vigilant
watchful, moving in the night
seeing through darkness.

fly, as day passes
see, as night’s darkness cries
hindsight is so clear.

Whither twitter viewers?

I must have worn out my viewers over on twitter (where links from this here blog are tweeted as I post them here) because it seems no one visits me from there anymore. I’m intrigued in a scholarly, geeky kind of way. Some of those viewers may have bookmarked or RSS’d me or may be following more from facebook or whatever.

Anyway, it was such a dramatic change that seemed to happen after a wordpress/jetpack update that I asked about it over on wordpress. Lo and behold I got a reply and a request for more info and those jetpack guys actually tested my twitter/blog connection and found it working.

So – come back twitter pals! Hope all is forgiven! And Jetpack guys – you totally rock! thanks for helping a small-potatoes blogger.
