Spell check… what were you thinking? #nanowrimo

“We were out taking some photos and measurements at Bryn Cader Faner and then we went down to Maen Llia in Brecknock.”

I wrote this tonight. Spell check marked Maen Llia and Brecknock as incorrect but didn’t give a peep about Bryn Cader Faner… Seriously? (here it only left Bryn unquestioned…)

I have to say, no doodling piano music, no cute kids, no sweeping landscapes with rain-shiny roads. Just unforgettable music and big, honking-big words. Well done folks.

Monday #NaNoWriMo catch up etc

Car inspection? done. Grocery shopping? done with a special emphasis on munchies and ooooh! peach blossoms

peach blossom candy

and ooooh! caramels half price? and well yeah! I did get some healthy stuff too. Wine, red wine’s good for you, right? Right!

Anyway I’m provisioned for doing some serious catch up on NaNoWriMo. The folks doing my car inspection got me right in but I had a nice short block of time and whipped out the laptop and wrote! There’s a desk in the showroom and the customer who was sitting there wandered over and offered it to me. I thanked him but stayed right where I was, writing while I could.

What I needed, apparently, was a problem for someone to solve. So my main male character Matt is striking out on his own for a bit to see what he can discover. Mainly he’s only a few months out from finding out something big about himself and it’s not something he owns yet. So he needs to work on that. That’s where we are.
