Best part of today:

I was working and a very small girl was trying very hard to dance. Sometimes it looked a little like tap. Sometimes it looked more like step dancing. Sometimes it looked a little like spazzy stomp dancing. She was very intent and serious but enjoying it.

So as she and her mother were leaving I asked “Tap or step dancing? I couldn’t quite decide.”

Mom said, “Tap dancing!” So I did a little shuffle ball-change. Mom says to her daughter, “Look at that!”

The look on that little girl’s face was amazing – GROWNUPS do tap dancing? What? But she did smile and I told her to keep dancing! One of the guys thought that was very cool.

If I cover myself with stamps like this could I get to New Zealand?

Started with finding a note in my mailbox: “package left on porch”. That’s right, the postal person got out of the truck and put my package on the porch. And it was four days earlier than the estimated delivery date! How good is that?

Worked in the kitchen getting ready for a little celebratory dinner for Aaron’s graduation. Quite pleasant get together with my brother’s family and mom sitting outside until it turned autumnal rather than summery.

Another young woman pulled in, while I was taking photos and wondering if the local police would show up. She came up along side me with her camera and apologized for disturbing me.

“..Had to turn around and come back!” she said.

I allowed as you have to stop when you see it and know where all the good spots for pulling off are.
