A brace of haiku to describe my day:
I can’t let time go by.
I know the right thing to do.
All that’s left: begin.It’s not difficult.
I put on my goddess shirt
and then, I begin.More a commitment
because it will satisfy,
willingly, I start.
PS. There is just nothing like the annoying of two cats butting head to my elbow while I’m trying to type this. Go away.
Sometimes I sit in my car.
It’s quiet there
with a view of the sky.
I can listen to the radio
or play music
or check email.
I know I can do all this inside.
But I sit in my car.
The last of the day comes on
the sky darkens to that
enigmatic blue behind the moon
the color sapped from
all my little world
the birch brightens.
Now the windows glow orange
with the light on timer.
The little string of lights
twinkles on the porch,
a solar trick.
All to make me come in
for the night.
