All ready for August.
I don’t normally wish my life away, but at this point I’m waiting for August and the beginning of the August Poetry Postcard Fest. I need to get my postcard stamps and print just six more things but otherwise, I’m ready!
There are a few local names on the list of participants and a few international folks.
That whooshing noise you hear in August will be the sound of words whooshing onto the postcards and then the postcards hurtling off to their destinations. Sometime in September I’ll put a gallery of the cards and poems up here for you all to read and laugh over.
Know that it is good to work. Work with love and think of liking it when you do it. It is easy and interesting. It is a privilege. There is nothing hard about it but your anxious vanity and fear of failure. — Brenda Ueland
Had a good Doctor report on Mom’s second cataract surgery and afterwards we went out and had a nice lunch. Unbelievably hot and humid this afternoon. I had one thing at home that I really HAD to do and then I started working on my project on the computer. Eventually the rains did come and cool it down and dry it out. Thank you!
I think I mentioned that I got a new printer and I’m still figuring it out. I have been printing something for a future project and today I managed to finish blowing through the initial cartridges the thing came with and the replacement color cartridges that I put in. Guess I’ll take everyone’s advice and get the extra-capacity cartridges.
I’ve had a few issues with it – had to fiddle around with it after changing the cartridges but it’s good for what I’m doing so that’s fine.
I just took all the files that I printed and it looks like I have enough files and may only need to reprint a couple of them to have enough. How mysterious is that?
