What’s next

Well, in the spirit of the process pledge and all, I can tell you that what comes next with the pile of green strips is some experimentation. I made one test square (discuss amongst yourselves how primitive and throwback I am seeing that I am on the grid so to speak. How gauche, omg how whatever…) and found I liked it but needs a little work to get it smaller if possible and less bulky by using some other means of sewing it together.

So what’s a make-many-squares-sorta-gal to do? Make some more squares on the same theme, using a couple different construction approaches and see how it goes. How hard/easy is it to do vs does it approach the look I’m going for. And, in fact, if the blocks are all together, does it create the overall effect I’m looking for.

There’s that motto that Pat and I always referred to: Fast isn’t always easy. Easy isn’t necessarily fast. Smaller isn’t easy or fast. Words to live by my friends. Have to strike the balance between what you’re willing to do and what you’re trying to get to.
