The Food Pantries for the Capital District

Folks, sometimes it’s hard to know how one person can make a difference in the world, so here’s a suggestion. The Food Pantries for the Capital District was one of my Dad’s favorite charities over the years, an organization that supports many food pantries in the area. This year someone is again matching donations made through September 1st, up to a total of $25000.

This means, if you donate, the anonymous benefactor matches your donation dollar for dollar. Now, if you work for a company like the one who employs me, the company will also match your donation. That means you can double or even triple your donation and help feed people locally.

The Food Pantries do a good job of making every dollar become a lot of food for the many people in our area that need food. You can read more about their works on their web site. If you choose to donate, this is an extra good time to make an extra big difference in our local world.

I’ll be donating again this year in Dad’s memory and I hope you’ll consider helping them get all of that $25,000 match. (and if your company matches, be sure to do that too!). Click the Food Pantries logo above to take you right to the donation page. Thanks!
