Totally the best part of my visit with Mom.
She hangs up from talking to her eye doctor’s office, rescheduling her cataract procedure.
Mom: “I was hoping they’d reschedule it for next Wednesday since you already have that day off.”
Me: “You can’t always get what you want… Huh, I feel a Rolling Stones song coming on, LOL”
I pop open iTunes Store and click on the song preview. Turns into a really long clip and there we sat at the kitchen table singing along and boogieing down to the Stones. Me. My Mother. Mind blown.
After that we settled into watching weather reports about tornado action heading down from Northville into Duanesburg and East Berne area. We got a little rain and thunder here. No big deal.
You go, girls! That would have blown my mind with my mother, but only slightly with your mother as I’ve seen more sides of her in recent years. She’s a piece of work, in the best of ways! Love it. Love it. Love it!
