This photo prompt from Not Without Poetry<\/a> has to be one of the best things I’ve ever seen. I admit that early in my day’s caffeination, I was a little confused by what seemed to be a long tail for the bear. My pal Ashley at work helped me know it was indeed his leg and paw. Phew. Another angst-filled crisis averted!<\/p>\n

Oh bear, dearest bear
\nI was dreaming<\/p>\n

of a cave<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

of a cave and
\nsomeone nuzzling my ear.<\/p>\n

who came to my cave
\nand stroked my ears
\nwith long furless fingers?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I dreamt I was wrapped
\nin long loving arms.
\nI heard two hearts singing.<\/p>\n

one high one low<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I dreamt my love
\npulled magic from the world
\nto save me<\/p>\n

and you were saved?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I was saved.
\nmy heart set beating.
\nmy hand reached out
\nwith laughing<\/p>\n

laughing and singing<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I felt my love’s magic
\nI felt his magic draw me in.<\/p>\n

love sleeps the winter<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I did not wish to wake.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
