\nbefore dark I walk the yard

the air is balmy
\nsuch an old-fashioned word
\nfor welcome warmth<\/p>\n
the birds chorus now
\nwelcomes back old familiars
\nrobins, song sparrows<\/p>\n
silhouetted now
\nway up in the treetops they’re
\nfinding tonight’s roost<\/p>\n
The peepers shrill call
\nare there thousands of them
