{"id":15403,"date":"2016-12-18T15:42:08","date_gmt":"2016-12-18T20:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.quiltr.com\/?p=15403"},"modified":"2016-12-18T15:42:08","modified_gmt":"2016-12-18T20:42:08","slug":"fruitcake-via-starbucks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/quiltr.com\/?p=15403","title":{"rendered":"Fruitcake, Via Starbucks!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On behalf of all the faithful members and friends of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fruitcakesociety.org\" target=\"_blank\">Society for the Protection and Preservation of Fruitcake<\/a>, this founder took herself to the nearest Starbucks to partake of their holiday offering &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/news.starbucks.com\/news\/starbucks-fruitcake-frappuccino\" target=\"_blank\">Fruitcake Frappuccino<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>In the official announcement, Starbucks says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The new beverage is inspired by holiday fruitcake with its colorful candied fruits, nuts and spices. Starbucks version starts with a Hazelnut Cr\u00e8me Frappuccino\u00ae blended beverage with dried fruit added and spiced with cinnamon, topped with whipped cream and an ornate topping of caramel dots and a sprinkle of matcha.<\/p>\n<p>But unlike a traditional fruitcake, Fruitcake Frappuccino won\u2019t last forever.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well done!<\/p>\n<p>And in real life? It came with a cute knit cup cozy and was tasty enough. I thought it tasted more of vanilla than hazelnut but that&#8217;s ok too. Pretty tasty, even if it was just for &#8220;ugly sweater day&#8221; celebrating.
